We are a team of mentors and mentees in high school, in ‘society’, in college, in the workforce and entrepreneurs, who provide peer-to-peer and senior-to-junior mentoring to empower individuals at every level of school or profession in science and beyond, both locally and internationally.
JUSENIOR Mentoring Institute was founded in response to the mentoring gap in the STEM field particularly in Zambian Government High Schools and Colleges, to provide peer-to-peer and senior-to-junior mentoring to empower individuals at every level of school or profession in science and beyond, both locally and internationally.
This mentoring program was registered under the Zambian Patents and Companies Registration Agency (PACRA) in September, 2021. It was co-founded by Dr. Stephen Manchishi and Dr. Jedaidah Chilufya in October, 2017. The program begun with a team of three University of Zambia (UNZA) students; Mark Mateta, Mulenga Siame and Diana Kachinka who provided mentorship to high school students at Olympia Secondary School, and Mr. Nyeleti Nyeleti a high school teacher who provided mentorship to high school students at Chipapa Secondary School.
